- Heavy duty cast iron construction.
- Running gear is carefully balanced and interstage pressures accurately matched to avoid vibration.
- Vee 90º design eliminates vertical out of balance forces.
- Only one valve per cylinder:
- Concentric with cylinder for even, frictionless plate lift and long life.
- Hot discharge air/gas flows through outer portion of valve, closest to cooling water jacket.
- Headless cylinder design--cooling water gets closer to the valves.
- Water cooling assures even heat dissipation around the cylinders.
- Built-in, efficient intercoolers and aftercoolers, including moisture separators.
- Eccentric lobe oil pump force feeds filtered lubricant to moving parts--traditional lower end pressure lubrication.
- Useful valve life is extended to 2000 hours. Even then, only the plates and springs require replacement.
- Uniform cylinder temperatures avoid thermal stresses and distortion, which reduces metal fatigue.
- Crankshaft is computer designed for maximum balance and torsional rigidity. Vibration is thus minimized.
